  • Do you have contracts?

We have agreements but they are only for month to month or year round customers. The Month to Month can be cancelled any time with a 30 day notice. Year Round has a $150 cancellation fee, this is just to have serious customers sign up for year round, otherwise you would do seasonal (month to month). It is not meant to screw you over but with the year round, we have prorated the service to allow for a lower cost during the summer, to have someone cancel we would lose money. It is a great deal to the customer and our security in providing this great service is $150. If there is something extreme we do then you can cancel without penalty (property damage, scalp lawn, etc).

  • Process To Sign Up:

Form Fill or Call > Review Rates > Sign Up for Selected Package > First Service Will Be Scheduled. If it is a project, we will schedule an in person estimate then send an official estimate you can sign.

  • Billing Cycle:

For Per Service We Require A Card on File or Prepayment, Month to Month or Year Round we invoice on the 1st of the month & allow a 7 day grace period to pay. Projects are due at the completion of the job.

  • Do We Require A Deposit?

If the project is above $500 we require a 33% deposit, if it is over $1,750 requires 50% down. This covers any materials or equipment needed to complete the project & secures the job on the schedule.

  • What is An Overgrowth Fee?

If we do the initial service and the grass requires a double or triple cutting then it is considered overgrown, that initial service will have an additional fee.

  • What is the difference and benefits of Level / flat rate billing vs per service?

Level billing means you will pay the same rate all year, it is very predictable, allows for you to spread the cost out throughout the year and you have someone checking your property year round. Per service you only pay if you need it and when the work is completed, this does cause unpredictable months. We have a standard of level billing and our customers love it. Example of level billing vs Per service: assume a $50 lawn mowing. If it is the middle of the summer and you need weekly cuts that are $50 x 4 or 5 = $200 - $250/month. Let's say you sign up for a 30 service package, $50 x 30 = $1,500 for the year or $125/month.

  • Do we negotiate on rates?

We have a standard pricing index for all jobs, we have season discounts but our rate is firm.

  • When Is The Best Time To Water My Lawn?

Early morning 1-2 hours before the sun comes up. Watering during the day in the Florida heat causes the water to evaporate before getting a chance to reach the root system of your grass. This also can create a magnification effect as the small droplets of water can magnify the sun and burn your grass.

Watering in the evening and night can promote fungus growth. This leads to an unattractive lawn that can sprout mushrooms, browning, and even a slimy like residue.

  • How To Have A Lush Green Lawn?

There are many factors that take into account when achieving that beautiful Florida lawn we all want.

First of which is proper watering. Even if you have a sprinkler system your sprinkler zones and coverage may not be optimized. Getting them set to the right times and coverage is essential.

Second is building a strong root structure. Fertilizing your lawn properly with the right fertilizer can give your lawn a strong root structure and that beautiful green color you’re looking for.

Third is proper mowing. Mowing your grass on a proper schedule and cutting at the proper height for the type of grass you have is key to the growth of your lawn. Letting your lawn get too long puts added stress on the root system.

  • How Often Should I Mow My Grass?

Depending on the type of grass, typically any variation of St. Augustine should be mowed weekly during the growing season and bi-weekly in the offseason. Especially if there is an irrigation system.

Bahia grass type, you can stretch out to 2 weeks or biweekly service but depending on how your yard is, it could use weekly mowing during the growing season as well. Can continue biweekly service in the off season as well, even get to once a month depending on irrigation.

Bermuda grass type, can grow rapidly in the growing season and will require a weekly mow to sustain a nice looking lawn.

  • Best Time To Install Sod?

You can do this year round, but it is recommended Spring and Fall.

  • What to do after installing sod?

Water for 20 - 30 mins per day for 30 days. Do not fertilize or add any pest control.
